Meiles, Reinger and Mccay

Image result for georges melies trip to the moonGeorges Melies was an illusionist and director in the earliest days of cinema. Born in Paris 1861 Melies was an innovator in special effects, time lapse photography, multiple exposures and hand painted colour.  A trip to the moon which contains a rocket of astronauts flying into the moon. This is probably Melies most popular film. Melies was a magicail who made these animations for magic stunts.











Winsor Mccay was a cartoonist and animator from America, born in 1867 in Michigan he was very artistic from a young age from making posters, illustrating in magazines and newspapers in 1893 Winsor had a professional career and a very clever mind.  His most famous work was Little Nemo which ranged from the years 1905-1914. Also Gertie the dinosaur which is short video and the first film to feature a dinosaur. Lotte Reinger is the Gerrman woman who directed films and pioneered animations. Born june 2 1899 in Charlottenburg, Germany. She had more than 40films in her total career all made purely from her imagination.  One of her most known films is called The Adventures Of Prince Achmed which is currently the longest surviving animation.
